Special Instructor – Babies Can’t Wait

Northeast Health District seeks a part-time educator to work with the Babies Can’t Wait program. The educator will work with families of children between the ages of birth and three years old. Special instructors are educators who coach families in developmental activities. The purpose of these activities is to strengthen and reinforce the knowledge and abilities of the family to enrich the skill development of their child in the home and in the community. They help the child reach family desired outcomes. As a part-time position, the candidate will travel to homes and set their own schedule. The contracting process typically takes about a month, and providers must possess liability insurance and complete fingerprinting in order to begin the contract.

A candidate with experience in special education and early childhood education is preferred.

If you have a bachelor’s degree, the hourly rate is $30, and if you have a master’s degree, the hourly rate is $35.
