PLEASE NOTE: The Georgia Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 Status Report will be updated for the last time on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. According to the CDC and leading public health officials, COVID-19 remains an important public health threat, but it is no longer the emergency that it once was. Its health impacts increasingly resemble those of other respiratory viral illnesses, including influenza and RSV.
Below are some COVID-19 and respiratory disease resources both nationally and in Georgia. This is not an exhaustive list, and many links below are an entry point for additional reports, dashboards, and resources, but may be helpful. State DPH continues to work to develop more local, sustainable resources for the state and will share as they are available:
- Viral respiratory disease pages:
- Georgia DPH, includes a graph with summary of respiratory disease in GA from syndromic data and a link to the weekly Flu/viral respiratory disease report, will continue to evolve: https://dph.georgia.gov/epidemiology/acute-disease-epidemiology/viral-respiratory-diseases
- National Wastewater Surveillance System:
- Georgia DPH, includes weekly reports for our state: https://dph.georgia.gov/epidemiology/acute-disease-epidemiology/georgia-national-wastewater-surveillance-system-ga-nwss
- EIP (Emerging Infections Program):
- RespNet: https://www.cdc.gov/resp-net/dashboard/
- This includes COVID, Flu, and RSV which can be limited to GA-specific data as we are an Emerging Infections Program site.
