Local DPH-Sponsored Testing Options
There are several local options for FREE COVID testing. These are being provided by DPH contractors.
While insurance information may be requested (but insurance is NOT required), there is no cost to the person being tested.
Obtaining COVID Test Results:
Test results will be sent to the email/text you used during registration .
Please note: Health Departments do not have your results
Please note: Testing locations may have to pause or cancel operations based on severe weather.

Drive-thru testing location will cease operations on June 28th.

FREE At-Home Test Kits Available
Northeast Health District health departments now have FREE at-home COVID test kits (BinaxNow) available for self-testing. There is a limit of 3 boxes (6 tests total) per household. Tests may be picked up (while supplies last) at your local health department clinic.
COVID-19 & Influenza PCR Testing Kiosks: Athens, Danielsville, Greensboro, Jefferson, Loganville, Monroe & Winder
Self-collected PCR testing (for both COVID and Influenza Type A & B) kiosks are available in Athens, Danielsville (Madison County), and Jefferson (Jackson County). You can pre-register here, and follow the instructions on the machine to obtain the test kit, collect a sample and return the test kit for pick-up. The kiosks are available 24/7.
In many cases, individuals will receive notification of their test results by email or text within 48 hours of specimen collection.
Athens Kiosk:3500 Atlanta Hwy, Athens GA (old fire station – entry for parking area is off Mitchell Bridge Rd)
Danielsville Kiosk:91 Albany Ave, Danielsville GA (parking area near gazebo)
Greensboro Kiosk: 1031 Apalachee Ave, Greensboro, GA (Greene County Health Department)
Jefferson Kiosk: 59 Bill Mahaffey Lane, Jefferson GA (Jackson County Tag/Tax office)
Loganville Kiosk: 4385 Pecan Street, Loganville, GA (Loganville Health Department – located on the wing of the building as you enter off of Broad St entrance)
Monroe Kiosk: 1404 South Madison Avenue, Monroe, GA (Walton County Health Department – located on the side of the building facing the Senior Center).
Winder Kiosk: 15 Porter St E, Winder GA (Barrow County Health Dept, side entrance on Woodlawn Ave)
