Flu Shots at the Health Departments

Flu shots are generally available at the local health departments in our area after Labor Day. Vaccine costs may be covered under insurance. If not, you may qualify for specific state or federal programs (based on income and insurance status). Out-of-pocket cost (for regular-dose flu shot) is $45 and for high-dose flu vaccines is $95.

Please call the clinic you plan to visit to check on availability, appointments, or insurance coverage, before visiting.

Prevent flu this season by rolling up your sleeve for your annual flu vaccine, AND prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses by washing your hands often with soap and water.

Remember, the more people vaccinated against flu this season, the more people are protected from flu! Get your flu vaccine to protect yourself and your loved ones, and do your part to prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses.

If you think you, your child, or other family members have the flu, please stay home and contact your healthcare provider.
